At All Florida Hockey we begin our monthly tribute to outstanding Florida youth hockey players by recognizing Zackeal Eldridge, 2008 14U goalie.
Zackeal started playing hockey in 2013, barely five years old, and started his life as a net-minder in 2016, at the tender age of 8 with the Miami Toros. Z is an eclectic young man with a broad set of interest, including hunting and music, and is, in fact, an accomplished cellist. Z played every season since the 2013-2014, and right through his second year of PeeWee 12U with the Miami Toros, before transferring to the Coral Springs Makos 14UA for the 2021-2022 season. Over the years, Z played with numerous tournament teams, including Southeast Elite and the Florida Hurricanes.
In one of his most recent, stand-out exploits, Z and his 14UA Makos left an undefeated 5-0 record in their wake in the 14UA Division at the MLK O-TOWN SHOWDOWN at the Orlando RDV Sportsplex, in January of 2022, where Z went .939sv%, 1.8 GAA, and a shutout, with two Player of the Game awards, and the MLK O-TOWN SHOWDOWN championship to boot! Z and his family recently moved from Homestead, Florida to Palm Beach, Florida, where he lives with his mom Kim and his dad Jason. He has continued to leave his mark on Florida youth hockey, and it remains to be seen this coming 2022-2023 season which travel hockey program will make off with this grand prize of a goalie!
All Florida Hockey recognizes Zackeal Eldridge as All Florida Hockey's - Outstanding Florida Youth Hockey Player of the Month for May of 2022.
Congratulations to Zackeal Eldridge!
